This is a recording made by me from my electronic organ, selecting a contrabs sound, then i edited it to make this kind of suspense sound; the series from netflix called dark inspired me; there you can hear sometimes a sound very similar to this one. I hope you like it guys.

Playing with quantussy cells in vcv-rack, creating generative music. I call in machine composition, but this time its done on a virtual modular. Hmmm no 100 should have been done on a real modular. . .

More modular hip-hop. Does it work? neeed a sampler i think. . . Some compressor and limiter in audacity. Little too much bass.

I recorded one hour of machine composition. I did not listen to it. I did not open the file in audacity. I told my fb fiends to give me a number between 0 and 57. I got 42 (what else). This sound is minute 42 to 45 from my one hour recording. The rest is deleted. Gone.

X and y goes to comparator resulting in a note when crossing the threshold. At the same time x and y goes to cv in on jupiter storm generating two glissando paths. The two used osc's on jupiter storm are tuned to the same pitch.

The sound is not as clean as in the virtual one. To some extent i blame my method of recording. . . Different oscillators sound different. Here i use a self oscillating filter. That produces a clean sinus wave. The cleanest sinus in my rack. But i guess the real thing is not perfect and that is what you are hearing? in neither of the patches i use a quantizer. . . (that's art :-)and, i almost forgot, i use a cheap analog delay pedal. Noisy. . .
