Ambience from 5th floor balcony, sao paulo capital city (consolacao neighborhood) with foundation pile driver machine on background at augusta street building site, downtown, traffic, urban, cars and buses passing, construction, horns, pedestrians, walla. Recorded in november 2012 with zoom h1 stereo internal mics and edited with audacity.

A pneumatic air tool (jackhammer) was used to lower some concrete blocks on the exterior of our garage. I was inside the house recording it with a zoom h2 recorder. So this was recorded through an insulated wall. This is the longer recording.

A room tone attic in ostend, belgium. Construction and scaffold building across the street. Occasional car passing. The windows were closed but it’s only single layered glass. At 3:06 you can hear my feet moving (sorry about that). Recorded with tascam dr 701d en rode ntg 3 (shotgun type mic). The shotgun was positioned on top of the tascam in between the two internal mics. No processing whatsoever. Enjoy, use this in any way you seem fit, no credit needed.
