A recording of a pair of hawks that often nest in this small town in southern illinois. It seems that the essence of the wild is captured in the sound of a screeching hawk. Recording made during the late afternoon on a day in late february 2013. Equipment used: zoom h4n recorder using the built-in stereo microphones turned to collect sound from 180 degrees.

These are the ambient sounds of a sailboat underway. You hear the sounds of wind-filled sails, the tugs on line, and boat parts movement as the boat is moving through the water under a steady wind. I have a lot of old hard drives, some of which are still working and others are damaged. My project is collect the sounds produced during start-up.
