It's a prusa 3d printer doing mesh calibration, which is performed once before each print,. In this case it's testing 49 on the print bed, instead of the default 9.

24/48 mono recording of the sound of a fnx. 45 acp being shot slowly in a gun range 9 times. During the recording there are a couple shell casing that can be heard hitting the floor. There is a long break after the final shot before the target is recalled on the automatic rail system. There is a slightly echo-y natural reverberation to the gun range. Other than that the recording is very quiet in-between shots and each shot sound was allowed to dissipate before another round was fired.

That irritating automated announcement that lets you know which cashier to go to in a bank or in a queue in a store in the case "cashier number one, please" (small amount of backgound noise that i could not edit out).

On the workbench is a spool of springy wire, which in this case happens to be nickel-chrome. It gets used sometimes for repairs; presently a few turns of the wire are sticking up above the spool, resembling an extended slinky. This is the metallic sound of twanging that coil of wire.

Used shotgun shells falling onto a hard surface. I recorded this sound myself using the mic on my computer and some empty shotgun shells i found by simply dropping them on the floor.

Recorded near a drainpipe, i have no idea what the bass wind sound in the background is. I think it was some sort of exhaust from the basement around, but i don't know why it turned off and on. In any case it makes for a very spooky ambient effect.

A small, hyundai i10's engine starting up as the car turns on. There is a slight rattle of keys in some cases, but i took a number of takes. Recorded from the interior of the car during a quiet day in suburban pretoria, south africa.
