His original file contains a barking dog, which depending on your usage, can deter from the intent of your project. Since acclivity's recording has excellent signal to noise ratio, and has captured some beautiful birdsong, i thought other people might be able to use this edited file with all the dog barking taken out.

Sound description: hundreds of crows squawking on a breezy afternoon. In nature you have a "gaggle" of geese or a "pod" of whales, but a "flock" of birds, if they happen to be crows is actually called "a murder of crows". An appropriate name if you happen to be standing underneath hundreds of them in the trees. They emit a murderous ;) squawk and screech for hours. I was looking for a sound that fitted a dance studio/recording studio reception area so i mixed a few sounds together and came up with this. It has traffic sounds, various bird sounds, indistinct chatter, a thumping bass in the background like in a room on the floor above and a harmony group practising somewhere else in the building. Could be useful for a radio play, movie scene or theatre play.

Heard a barred owl calling in my backyard. Grabbed my zoom h4n with audio-technica at897 shotgun mic and started recording. Did some minor equalization to soften the higher frequencies and roll off the low end. Crickets are chirping in the background, a few other insects make some sounds. Soft droning of a couple planes flying by and vehicles from a highway about a mile away, but do not overpower the barred owl.

At first, the cars pass through in front of the school. And then, the people were talking around and pass by us when we went through the school-yard. We walked up the stairs and pass through the playground, we heard children playing basketball. We heard the balls hit the ground and the children screaming and shouting. Beside that, there was a sound of repairing near the terrace. At the end, we arrived canteen and we heard the students talking.

An interesting sound from a house we were staying at. The outdoor exhaust for the clothes dryer made this jet like noise, particularly when the microphone was moved around it. This is a recording of the six o'clock cicada taken near to the danum valley rain forest lodge in the primary rain forest of borneo. The 6 o'clock cicada is the loud horn type of sound that can be heard in the fist few seconds of the file. Later in the file other insects come in one sounding more like a car alarm.

A foggy july morning. The recorder was placed on a rock about 30cm from the edge of the water which was moving very slowly. The waves were really shallow and soft. You can hear uk songbirds in the wooded area behind the recorder and seabirds in front of it. Occasionally you can hear a foghorn in the distance. Olympus ls-5, int mics, deadcat, 35hz hp @6db/oct, 5:30am.
