My dog growls when you go anywhere near him while he is eating, i noticed he seems to leave a little bit of food so he could run to it and growl (perform) when i came downstairs later on. So, i placed a condenser mic on his bowl and recorded him in 96k 24bit. I will no doubt use this in a short film and it's here for use by others too. The peaceful natural recording was made in early march of 2012 in woods bordering a lake. Even though it was late-winter/early spring and was cold -- about 38 degrees -- it was not totally still. These tufted titmice and song sparrows were actively singing as if to say "hey, winter's almost gone, get ready for spring. Sunday afternoon (october 2014) at jardin des plantes in nantes (france). Recorder r05 (inbuilt stereo mic). Sitting on a bench near a small waterfall. Birds start to sing after few seconds. A man, somewhere in the park, is playing a traditional music instrument.

Geese flying about 10 feet overhead and honking. You can hear them approach, fly off and get absorbed by the sounds of all the other birds (and a train horn in the distance). Sorry, mono only since i had to hit record pretty fast when i saw them coming. . .

Soft rain on an open roof window recorded from the inside. There's a suburban hum and ambiance with a few birds chatting and some thunder in the distance. Recorded in stereo with tascam dr-100 internal mics. Subtle compression and some eq was applied. 48 khz | 24 bit.

This is a mix of many different sounds. A dog keeps on barking, birds sing. There's a plane that passes by. At one moment a truck also passes by. There's even squirrels and at the end a faint murmur of people talking as they walk on the sidewalk. Recorded with a zoom h4n.

I heard these owls outside my window this evening. I live next to a large field and it attracts birds of prey frequently. I managed to capture them conversing back and forth. Unfortunately, the neighbors dog had to chime in. But, even that sounds kind of neat with the natural reverb of the open space.
