I recorded this sound from the backyard on 3. 13. 19 on a cold morning around 8:10am arizona time. It was damp from the rain overnight. I processed the audio in logic by placing a high-pass filter and a limiter.
This recording was made in vogelenzang, the netherlands, at sunrise on pentecost sunday 2013. Vogelenzang translated into english is, "birds song" - go figure! this recording was made using a zoom h4 resting on the ground.
The forest that these birds sang in, is now gone. People decided to blast it away in favor of unappealing buildings. . . And it's almost too heart breaking for me to listen to. I loved that little green spot.

This is a narrated soundwalk on a hill. It involves wind blowing leaves and trees, and a very weird bird sound that i can not identify. I walked back and forth between the area where this sound was recorded. There's always the sound of my walking and miscellaneous sounds i may not have mentioned in the minute.
I processed this sound by placing the cap of an empty small water bottle on my forehead with my palm. I vibrated my palm against the bottle to create the woodpecker sound. I added some reverb to give the illusion that this takes place in a bird sanctuary, or a rainforest.
A bird was singing close to a chimney early in the morning. I had my recording gear ready to go. It took quit a bit of processing (= noise-removal & filtering) to get rid of rubbish. I added a slight reverb to it. The recording is made in zoetermeer, a city close to the hague.
