This sound was created as follows:. -zynaddsubfx free (and insanely amazing) software synthesizer generated simple g tone using a sine-wave adsynth engine- creative sbs 250 speakers played it back distorting the sound naturally and adding some interesting stereo phasing effects (is that caused by analog signal cable being longer for one speaker?)- i was manually changing the volume using the speaker's potentiometer (whitch is dirty and added some interesting noises on the right speaker, and also at peak loudness during the 54th second the right speaker is quiet)- the output was captured by zoom h2's rear mics- and recorded via usb into audacity free audio editing program- i exported the recording as 16-bit flac.

Clean, dry recording of a smartphone touchscreen being rapidly tapped as if a message was being written on it. Could just as easily be used as sounds from using (writing, playing mobile games, browsing, etc) a tablet or really any relatively small touchscreen device. Tapping speed and length between taps varies throughout the recording, but overall i tried to make it sound as natural as possible while still offering options for more granular placement. Recorded with an akg p170 into a tascam 208i audio interface at 48khz/24-bit. Microphone was positioned 5-6 inches away from source. A 120hz high-pass filter was applied to remove unnecessarily pronounced bass frequencies.

As a homage to freesound. I always name my loops with the first letter on its key hence the name ghost chord=) , and is a loop made at 128bpm. I find making a loop can be very good for tuning your ears & production techniques, because like an artist if your painting something small u add a lot more detail. This is the unprocessed version of my "sci-fi ambient drone" upload. It's creative commons cc0, so please treat it as public domain. I took a quick 8-second drum loop from my teenage engineering po-33 (ko) and ran it through a free time-stretching/pitch-shifting program called akaizer. This program is based on old samplers like the akai s1000 that had extremely artifact-heavy time-stretching and pitch-shifting features. If you slow a sound down enough, the final product tends to sound harsh and electric. Akaizer turned my 8-second drum loop into 2 minutes and 38 seconds of harsh, bassy noise, pretty damn close to the final. Enjoy :).

This underwater breathing was created in audacity. To create this sound i generated 2 tracks rhythms on 2 different mono tracks. For the breathing i created a rhythm "click noise" and added the effect "paulstrech". I deleted some moments of silences. I tried to simulate a heartbeat. I generated a rhythm tracks "noise click" and added the effect "echo". I selected in the track a sound wich looks like to a beat, cut the remain and add the repeated effect on the selected moment. A water faucet set to drip in a chaotic manner, without much regularity. I put a plastic container lid under that for sound to be more pronounced, but that added crunchiness and now it doesn’t resemble dripping as much. Recorded with redmi note 5 phone, denoised in audacity plus filtered bass out a bit. P. S. I need to say that i foolishly recorded it into an im app and the recording ended up as. Snippets from recordings of me playing the tanpura. Tuned to e flat, the notes from top to bottom are b flat, e flat, c, low e flat. In traditional indian tuning the root note in the scale is referred to as sa and is e flat in this scale the fifth note (b flat in this scale) is referred to as pa and the sixth note (c) is dha. I noticed that my first pack of tanpura samples has a bit of fuzzy white noise so in this pack i have equalized - i reduced all the very high frequencies which got rid of most of the white noise without affecting the low frequency sounds of the tanpura itself. Please note this is the tanpura part of an instrument called the swar sangam which combines the swarmandal (indian harp) and the tanpura, it is not a traditional tanpura and does sound slightly different.

I made this one a morning while having a cup of strong java. It's done in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. Made a drumbeat with open hi-hat. After 4 rounds the hi-hat closes and a cowbell comes in. Did a bassline to go with the beat. Then i added instruments on top of that. Starts out pretty mellow in minor, dark. Then builds up with the bass, and after that a loud synthesizer and back to a more mellow part. I think it's a bit spacey/sci-fi. That's why i named it "exit planet terror". Not gonna explain about this one much. Basicly i just made a simple patch on my virus c hardware synth which consists of 2 osc's (sine / saw), osc2 slightly detuned from the osc1. Fast pitch envelope on both osc's to get the "punch" part in the kick. Ran through virus's lowpass/bandpass filters, lowpass cutting from 100% to 0% with a speed of 1/4 beats to get a "filtering down" effect to the kick, bandpass rejecting slightly frequencies from a range of 400-600hz. Then i sampled it, many times and picked the best sample. Eq->distort->eq->distort million times and this is the result. Ofc i did some cutting and added some lowpass/bandpass filters with various mix levels @ some points and did some other shit also but basicly it's just eq & distort. Hf, its a decent kick but needs some fixing still since the punch is too separate from the bass.

This was recorded during a harsh storm here i stockholm. Harsh winds blowing thru a small forest. Details such as leaves rustling and hard stormy winds are key components in this recording. It sounds like a storm is approaching what do you think?. I honestly don't remember what i did in post. . . I think i removed alot of bass/rumble, added an expander to remove some unwanted noise to help the winds and leaves to stand out. I probably used rx to clean up some unwanted noises. Equipment:zoom h5 + sony ecm 6080s condenser mic. This was a test to see how the stereo configuration on the ecm 6080s sounded like. I really like it but i would prefer an ab configuration with 2 dpa 2011 or even 2 4060. . . I like the sound it was able to capture even if it may be a little to "centered". I probably will try to use it for my future hiking trips to capture rivers and general ambiances, if i get something special i will upload them here. Hope you like it.

Melodic snippets from recordings of me playing the swar sangam. This wonderful instrument is a combination of the swarmandal and the tampura. 15 harp strings and 4 drone/bass strings. In these recordings i am only using the swarmandal (harp) part. It is tuned to c sharp, but i have dropped the fourth note (f sharp) out of the scale. There are four packs with lots of recordings in them, strums, plucks, short improvisations. "short melodic statements" are 1-2 bars. "riffs" are 2-4 bars. "melodies" are about 30 seconds and "runs and flutters" speaks for itself. There is recording of tuning up the swarmandal in the melodies pack. The snippets were taken from recordings done on three different days so you may notice a slight difference in volume and background noise. A couple of the recordings have some ambient noise (bird tweets, wind chimes,)some of the melodies are based around a similar theme but have enough variation to be interesting/useful.
