Was messing around on the piano and started fingering this line. Switched it over to bass. Combination of two basses and some plucking sound: all just sound card midi sounds. Tweaked the bass deeper with audacity. Peace out and enjoy.

A simple bass lick recording which i used on the demo of my master thesis. Yamaha trb5pii (maple top), slightly balanced favouring pickup bridge, fingerstyle, fingers placed over pickup bridge, all other controls centered. Straight into focusrite scarlett 2i2 into audacity.

This sound was recorded in my bedroom. It was recorded on may 19th between 12:00 and 13:00 with a zoom h2 recorder. The sound consists in a voice singing like a bass guitar.

This standup bass was sampled using a direct pickup as well as stereo overhead mics for some room ambience. Articulations include a normal pizzicato, or finger plucked note; a stopped note as performed with the finger; a stopped note performed bartok style; and some miscellaneous sound effects: a slide by the hand down the strings, a slap on the strings, and a knock on the wooden body of the bass. This sound was created on my korg ms-2000 i never got around to using the sound but think it will be cool for a drum&bass; track. Dirty sounding bass synth. Korg ms-2000.

Lowest string (f1, gauge 0. 74) playing again, but this time with heavy distortion and no reverb. There is some barely noticeable noise towards the end, picked up by the guitar pickups. Djenty, almost bass guitar stringish tone.

A simple square wave, done with chirp generator in audacity. Starts at 200hz then slides until 30hz. Bass booster and phaser added. Then enveloppe manualy modified (enveloppe tool) + fade out processing for the end of the tail. Then normalized.
