Had a fire drill in uni today so thought i would have a shot at recording it incase any of you have a use for it. I recorded it using a tascam dr-40, 44. 1khz 24bit.

Well, this was a happy accident. I was trying to record my neighborhood with birds, etc, but of course living in los angeles that was practically impossible, so instead i captured this great helicopter passing directly overhead. Recorded with: audio technica bp 4025, sound devices 702t.

Nerf hammershot shooting without a dart in the drum. (dry fire). You can hear the air that would usually push the dart and some rattle caused by pulling pack the hammer. Recorded on sound devices 833 & neumann tlm 102.

This is a pilatus pc6 swiss made plane commonly uses for freight and in this configuration used to transport skydivers into the air where they are jumping out at 4000 meters (13123 ft). 96khz 24bit stereo.

Single sound without much other sounds of a construction area. Snippet with short intervalls. Taken with samsung galaxy s5. Germany,25. 10. 19.

Flyby of red bull air race pilot hannes arch with his edge540 plane. Recorded with iphone4, so little cracks in there. Small crowd applauding. --- hannes arch later died in a helicopter crash he was flying, on sep. 8th 2016 in austria. Rip.

These are the sounds of real swords banging against each other. Minimal editing has been done: separated samples, some eq, some fades. . . Mostly raw in open-air noisy market environment. This was a fairly small air mass thunderstorm, only a few km across. However, it made up for its size with amplitude, becoming the largest attention seeker for miles around. Listen at -07:12 for some of the strangest thunder i have ever heard. . . Recorded with a rode stero videomic pro.

A pneumatic air tool (jackhammer) was used to lower some concrete blocks on the exterior of our garage. I was inside the house recording it with a zoom h2 recorder. So this was recorded through an insulated wall. This is a combination of the 2 previous recordings, so it's a bit more concentrated/intense.

A bunch of gusts as a warm moist mass of air from the south steamrolls over southern illinois on, believe it or not, december 14th 2015. The temperature outside when i recorded this was 65 degrees! not quite the norm for this time of year. Recording made with the handy zoom h4n recorder using the internal microphones.

Uk birmingham canal between icc and aston, large factory with very powerful extractor fan exhaust from roof running in foreground. Air flow noise superimposed on fan motor drone with some phasing. H2 zoom front mic with wind shield, hand held, some wind noise, worse towards end, missed the foreground fan switch off.

Crickets chirping at night behind my apartment balcony in tokyo. You can hear my neighbor's air conditioner droning in the background. There is some weird freak burping and talking in the middle of the recording. This is a stereo recording made with 2 coincidental mics at 120゜angles.

Recording from the balcony of my air bnb in venice, italy. You can hear doors opening, people walking, dogs barking, seagulls, a plane goes by, a person with a limp walks by, speech in italian and other ambient sounds through a reverberant street. There are no cars to pollute the soundscape.

This is a 36 inch/. 9 meter jacobs ladder made from a neon sign transformer, recorded from the side so the sound of the arc pans right to left. Easily editable to loop. 60hz feed here.

Sounds of monsoon thunderstorm recorded from balcony of apartment in phoenix az at around midnight. Rumbling distant thunder, a few closer thunderclaps, soft breeze on large tree near balcony, dripping water on balcony, a short siren in the distance, faint air conditioner noises. Unprocessed stereo wav recorded with zoom h1.

A sunday morning soundscape recorded in july of 2017 in a small town in the midwest. Insects dominate, with a window-unit air conditioner in the background. The spike toward the end of the audio file is a very talkative crow. Enjoy. Made with the fantastic sound devices 702 and the rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone.
