How to Engage All 3 Types of Learners inside your Room The researchers have long sought to find optimal methods students study by research. One well-known theory, even this day, is the VLM model. This model lists three kinds of learners: visual, oral, tactile, and text-based. Sight learners Sight learners are people who favor receiving information visually—using charts, plots, diagrams, charts, etc. Still, they do not necessarily react to images or clips, instead requiring their data through varied visual aids like motifs and forms Text-based learners Text-based learners absorb material most easily when it is textual, be it notes or reading it. Hands-on learners Hands-on learners are people who favor learning through action. They like practical work. They are often grounded and closely linked with it, so they need hands-on practice to grasp ideas more clearly. Aural learners Aural learners are people who grasp info best if they ingest content via sound when it’s spoken or aloud.
